Biomedical applications of micro-nanorobotics

 

Abstract:

Progress of micro-nanorobotics is remarkable in recent years and attracting many people. There have been reported a lot of biomedical applications. Notable technological challenges in fabrication, actuation, and sensing of micro-nanorobotic systems will be introduced, and future prospect will be discussed.

 

Biography:

Fumihito Arai received Dr. of Engineering from Nagoya University in 1993. Since 1994, he was Assistant Professor of Nagoya University. Since 2005, he was Professor of Tohoku University. Since 2010, he has been Professor of Nagoya University. He is the Vice President for Technical Activities, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (2014-2015, 2016-2017), RAS AdCom Member (2009-2011, 2012-2014, 2019-2021). He is the Co-chair of IEEE Technical Committee on Micro/Nano Robotics and Automation.
