Molecules on metals

Aim : formulate new polymers on surfaces

To achieve this goal, we use metallic surfaces by using catalytic properties of copper surfaces.

For this purpose, we develop molecules ended with halogen atoms to consider Ullmann couplings or possessing carbon-carbon triple bonds to consider photopolymerizations.

In July, 2015, we obtained a financing of ANR to develop new types of 2D polymers. This project named ORGANISO and led by F. Chérioux is made up of a consortium combining skills of Institut Néel and IPCMS. Additional details are available on the prject website  http://projects.femto-st.fr/projet-organiso/

The study of polymerization on metal comes within the framework of ORGANISO project.
