 | My name is Louna and I joined FEMTO-ST in February 2025 to begin my PhD after I graduated from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) with a Biological Sciences Engineering Degree. During my studies I specialized in biotechnologies applied to medicine and pharmaceutical issues. In 2023, I spent an exchange semester at the Korea Advanced Institute of Sciences and Technology (KAIST), where I started studying cancer biology – a field I became passionnate about. Later, during my end-of-study internship I explored Organ-on-Chip technologies, contributing to the development of a Liver-on-Chip model designed to predict Drug-Induced-Liver-Injuries. This internship took place at the intersection of 3 laboratories : ENS Paris-Saclay, Inserm 1193 in Villejuif and the company Biopredic International in Rennes. Now, I am a member of the BIND team where I'll work within the BioIMP project, to combine cancer biology with Organ-on-Chip technologies. My PhD focuses on developping a microphysiological device that replicates at best human cancer, aiming to establish an innovative in vitro model for evaluating the therapeutic efficiency of a novel cell therapy. Ultimately, the objective is to implement biosensors into the chip, enabling real time-monitoring of cellular response to immunotherapy. |
